Field Trips
The fieldtrip to the Netherlands has been a really useful way to get students and staff outside the classroom to experience good practice in urban design. Previous fieldtrips have visited Amsterdam Eastern Docks, Ijburg in Amsterdam and Le Medi in Rotterdam amongst other housing developments.

BUDS was set up in 2013 to allow students in planning who are involved in urban design modules to experience working in Brazilian cities. With a partnership with universities in the cities of Pelotas, Florianopolis and Porto Alegre students in 2013 were able to engage with local communities, local urban design officers, students and lecturers to develop urban design guidelines for housing developments.
